So I locked my keys in my car and need to get home. I have a 91 Chevy Cavalier with slide locks. Can you tell me how to unlock them. I don't have the money to call a tow company or my insurance card to call anyways because it is in the car. I have had tried a wire coat hanger and it didn't work...

Call a friend that knows how to use a hanger. But really you should be
able to open it with a wire hanger. Keep trying you will get it open.

U can call triple A (AAA) and they will open it for U but they'll charge U about 50-70 $$$. Or buy a jimmy( a flat piece of metal with hooks at the end. I was fortunate enough to find one at a 99 cent store for a buck. A jimmy is used by sliding it in on the side window of the passenger door at a 45 degree angle and jiggling the locke hinge. Good luck.

my neighbor had a Malibu 91 - and we /she pryed the top of the door until there was room to get items we randomly chose to unlock it.finally success.a long metal rod to the other side with a bend in it.holding the door was a pain with a large screw driver would slip.it did mess the white paint. and why anyone would not have a spare in their own house (?) you know.the door bent back into shape fairly easy after a few trys.good luck.

if you can find a small piece of wood, pry out the top edge of the door (window) and insert. this will give you more room to manuever the coat hanger. just remember which way the slide goes to unlock.
