...did not do work.? I have a signed contract and receipt of all money given to contractor to start roofing work on assigned date. Contractor called on assigned date and stated father passed away. Later, I found out his father died many years ago--contractor never intended to do work. What documents do I need to win my small claims court case--I have also have photos to show work was not done.
 
As a plaintiff, all you need is to show that you contracted with this person to do a job. You have your signed agreement. Next you show that the work was not done. You have your photos, as well as your own testimony. Open and shut case.
