Before you start, you need to evaluate the extent. You can't just go ahead and argue that the liberal party was the most affected - we're talking about a major war here. Surely all parties were affected - what makes the liberals so special? You have to qualify what you're saying. This question is about a contrasting approach, not just looking at the Liberals in isolation - you'll get poor marks if you go down that route.

I'm a tad stuck on the content. The essay title is:
To what extent was the Liberal Party the most affected by World War 1?
I've done my intro (which I hope is OK) and I think I'll probably right about the Liberals having to sort of change their views (e.g ditch their laissez faire approach) which lost them support and meant that many liberal mp's had to campaign for things they didnt believe in. I will probably mention the coalition, wartime cabinet, Asquith's resignation and David Lloyd George somewhere in there, but I'm not too sure what to write about them. Please could I have a little help? Thank you :)

Sounds like you're on the right track.. Don't forget to include the Great Ham and Pickles Affair as this was a major driving force in the direction the party took. Colonel Mustard must be noted along with the others mentioned in the wartime cabinet. If you include these points, I'm sure you'll be fine...
