As a psychologist, is it right to devise torture techniques?

How do you feel about it professionally, ethically or legally?
 
It is not at all wrong to create such techniques.

But implementing them on living individuals to create trauma IS wrong.

It's a part of science. That needs to be researched if we are to further our understanding of this world.
 
torturing someone is very unethical. no one should be tortured or manipulated. people who go to see psychologists need to be supported and helped to get their life back on track. not manipulated and abused. it is very unprofessional and highly unethical.
