Manager at small garage door company and our owner keeps one sales manager and pays him salary. I know he makes good money on salary as well. I have a huge problem with this. One - there is no motivation to do his absolute best. Two - His job should be performance based, there is no telling how many great sales people looking for jobs that would work for commission only.
I think our sales manager would even be happy about the change to commission. I just am not sure how to bring this up to our owner with out setting him off. Maybe I am missing something but it doesn't make sense to me why we would have 1 sales manager who gets paid a salary of 60,000+
