I'm an illustrator who wants to make it in the commercial world of the arts. I know that trends change frequently and can even be different depending upon the area you live in. I live in Southern California where styles and trends may be the exact opposite as New York for example. So, what's the in colors and style these days so that I can incorporate a suitable theme to fit the latest rage. By theme, I mean...ocean scenes with dolphins and whales that were popular on calenders and t-shirts back in the 80's. Perhaps that's a bad example considering I live no where near the beach, not to mention times have changed tremendously since the 80's. The point is, I'm looking for what's selling these days so I can artistically capitalize on it so I can be a successful artist.
