What do you think of the first of 4 new Arthur Season 13 episodes airing this week on PBS Kids stations? First up for October 12, 2009 was "No Acting, Please" (with guest voice Phillip Seymour Hoffman rehearsing Fern, Grandma Thora, Mr. Ratburn, and Ed Crosswire for a play called "It Began With a Whistle"), and "Prunella and the Disapointing Ending" (Prunella and Marina race to see who can read the final book in the Henry Skreever series).

How did you like the week of 4 new Arthur 1/2 hour episodes?

10/12 - No Acting, Please (with special guest voice Phillip Seymour Toffman - GENIUS!)/Prunella and the Disapointing Ending
10/13 - The Silent Treatment/Kung Fool
10/14 - Arthur's Number Nightmare/Brain Gets Hooked
10/15 - MacFrensky/The Good, The Bad, and the Binky

For the record, Fern had speaking parts in 3 Arthur episodes ("No Acting, Please, Kung Fool, and Brain Gets Hooked), Sue Ellen had speaking parts in two (The Silent Treatment, Kung Fool), and Prunella had speaking parts in three (Prunella and the Disapointing Ending, Arthur's Number Nightmare, and MacFrensky).

For The Good, The Bad, and the Binky: It was gross for Emily to burp and learn wrestling from Binky.

The end credit voice cast for Arthur Season 13 is the same voice cast credits as Arthur Season 12 (and Bruce "Binky Barnes" Dinsmore is still snubbed!)

Remember the week of October 19, 2009 for the entire week another Season 13 Arthur episode airs dealing with cancer called "The Great MacGrady" which features Lance Armstrong doing his second Arthur guest voicing episode (following last season's "Room to Ride"). Then the remaining 5 1/2 hour Season 13 Arthur episodes will air on PBS Kids in the USA sometime in early 2010.

I missed No Acting, Please, MacFrensky, and The Silent Treatment.
Prunella and the Disappointing Ending and Brain Gets Hooked were OK.
