Arthouse cinema memberships?

Does anyone think these are worth paying for? You usually get a few free tickets, then discounted tickets, no booking fees, and occasional members-only free screenings, but the downside is the chains are small and tend to have the same films at each cinema (eg Curzons, Picturehouses).

Any views?
 
I am a member of my local arthouse cinema - one of the oldest in the UK. The material benefits are nice, not over generous, but nice. However, I mainly became a member to help it stay open and feel part of a community I have an affinity with.

Plus they get great foreign films and the staff are b****y lovely people too! I see it as just my bit to keep a resource I value alive.
