I am currently a third year art student who is looking for inspiration for some projects for the end of this semester and into next semester. I am taking ceramics now and into next semester and am also looking to employ it in my independent study project next semester.
I am interested in finding artist or just examples in general of ceramic artists that use fibers in their work as well. Artists that may incorporate knitting/crocheting (I am mainly a crocheter) or other bits of fibers/textiles into their pieces pretty much.
Also any ideas to explore would be neat too!
Much of my work seems to have feminist undertones (or over tones) even though I may not mean it to. (it seems to just develop as I work through my concept...and I dont know how to harness it!) I work mainly with defying the stereotypical view of women by using items/techniques/objects that we associate with women. So any current feminist work would be helpful too.
