Art quote by George Washington/ other president?

My teacher was telling me about a quote made by George Washington about how his father was a farmer, he was a president, so his sons could be artists? Something along those lines. However, it might not even be George Washington, and she could've been misinterpreting the quote. Either way, I'd like to find it to see if it would work with the paper I'm writing.
