Art project ideas for a short deadline.?

I am in the IB Visual Arts Program at my school and so the deadlines are very intese. I am looking for an idea for my next project. I am into taking pictures of my friends and/or people and then drawing portriats, but in more action pieces. I am trying to decide what to do next, like what ways should I go about setting up the pictures to draw. My main focus for this year is figure drawing, so thats where I am going with that.
 
maybe focus on individual parts of the people? like, maybe their back and shoulder when they are running or lifting something? Flip through an anatomy book to find interesting things that humans can and cannot do.
