Art Institute of Las Vegas question?

Hello everyone, I have a small mental dilema on my hands . . . . sort of. Basically, my girlfriend is going to be going to the Art Institue of Las Vegas, and she's going to be living in school sponsored housing. Yesterday she got the key to her apartment, and it was . . . . . less than 'desirable' shall we say, the other people living there had a very dirty apartment. The kitchen was dirty, stove, there were still pots and pans on the stove from them cooking. The room she has to share with another girl was also extremely messy. They also had alcohol LINED up in the kitchen and they have 'beer nights' or something like that. There is no alcohol allowed in the apartments, yet they still have it there. My girlfriend is not 21, and somewhat reserved, and today she is planning on going to the housing director to tell them that she isn't going to live with those people. I have a few questions though that I have been wondering.

Are ALL, or a high 'percentage' of the apartments sponsored by the Art Institute in this same condition?

If Alcohol isn't allowed in the houses, how the hell could these people have gotten away with getting it into the apartments, and have it lined up?

How often are there assaults of any kind (fights, disputes, . . . . . . sexual) my girlfriend is quite small, she only weighs about 100lbs and while she can put up a fight, I dont think she could compete with a drunk who is out of his mind, especially if they live in the same damn apartment, how often are there assaults of any kind?

I have googled these questions, but all i get is the same few sites, all . . . . . . . rather bias, lol.

Please and thank you.
