Art and drawing question??

Question: I am using chalk to draw a sketch of an animal on black paper with lots of shading and detail. I have a picture to refer to, on white paper with the animal in detailed black ink. On my white paper, where the animal is shaded dark, will those (black) sections be very white with lots of chalk on them, or very dark with minimal white chalk on them, on the black paper? Thanks
