If you don't have much money to spend, I'd rule out hotels. Catering -- which is mandatory -- is expensive.
Instead, look for alternative sites in community centers. (Check out the Smyrna center on Atlanta Road. They have a lovely outdoor area for weddings, as well as a number of rooms, which are really nice and probably affordable.) If you have military ties, there are some great places at Dobbins that are CHEAP! If you have a friend living in a neighborhood with a clubhouse, she may be able to rent the room (usually very inexpensively) on your behalf.
