Army Reserve vs. Army?

I am trying to decide which one to join. My girlfriend wants me to join the reserve, because she does not like the idea of not seeing me for long periods of time and she thinks that the active army is too dangerous. Personally I wanted to join the active army but I don't know. What are the benefits and downfalls of both and if I join the active army how often would I get to see my girl?
I also received a score of 74 on the asvab and I am in my fourth year of college.
 
The reserve army is basically an easy job, patrolling home bases, national guard and such. Its an easy job with loads of money, you aren't away most of the time, and the risk of your life being endangered is lower than the regular army.
In the regular army, you can be at a tour for maybe 3 to 4 years in Afghanistan. During those 3 to 4 years the risks are very high.
Soo I suggest you go to the reserve ^^ They receive the same basic training and such ^^
