Just curious on the requirements if any to get assigned to the HHC recon platoon. I just reclassed from 31B (military police) to 11b, and volunteered to deploy with a national guard unit. It seems as if I got put into the HHC, but have yet to process in with the unit, so I have no clue what platoon I will be assigned to. This is why I'm asking how to get into the recon platoon. During my last deployment I shot expert with the m4 shooting 39 of 40 (cleaning my foggy glasses made me miss the 50m..lol), but I'm not sure if it was put on my record or not since it was during MOB. I know I wont even be considered for a school since I am new to the HHC, and we are to deploy soon, but what are my chances of being put into that platoon?
