I have a few questions about enlisting to become an army ranger. Will I get my job as a ranger 100% without a doubt? Of course being I passed all the necessary exams, Basic, Airborne, RIP, and the physicals. The other question I have, if I have to wait for a spot to open up in order for me to go to my battalion, how long at maximum will I have to wait? any other waiting I may have to do? Tips and advice are greatly appreciated.

Just for the record I am a male, useing my sisters yahoo lol

You have to understand it is highly competitive, not only to become a Ranger, but to even qualify and move on through the selection process. Furthermore, your job isn't being a Ranger per say, but rather you have an MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) or military job, which you would do in your unit, such as 45Bravo- Small Arms/Artillery Repairman, 68 Whiskey- Healthcare Specialist, or 11Bravo- Infantryman. All of those in the unit would either be an Active Ranger serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment or Ranger qualified wearing the Ranger Tab, however *not* serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment.

As far as even being allowed to attempt to be a Ranger, you get it on your contract along with your bonus, MOS, GI Bill, and all the other benefits. It's called Option-40 which, as long as you pass BCT and AIT, guarantees you the chance to go to Airborne school and Ranger Indoctrination Program.

hope it answered your question.

That is on you and luck. The Army will send you to Airborne School and RIP but at given time there are going to be far more guys in RIP especially 11B's, 11C's, and other combat arms personal than the regiment needs. As a result of this many guys are failed just to get rid of people.
