If it helps , im a 23 y/o male wanting to become a 31B.
1. Can you qualify for MP with a GED? I would assume you can, but I figured I'd ask.
2. During the AIT phase of OSUT, do you shoot any weapons that you didn't shoot during basic? If so, what are they?
3. Where do you usually go after basic? I know there is no way to know for sure, but I am looking for a generality if possible? Am I likely to be deployed right to Iraq/Afghanistan? Or is it more likely I would be stationed to a US base before deployment?
4. How long are tours overseas, generally, as an MP? Again, I know there is no definite answer, but I am again, looking for a best guess.
5. How good does former MP look on a resume for say a sherriff/police officer? I am looking to be a police officer as a career after I get out. Just curious if it helps as much as some say it does.
6. Any chance of getting DQ'd because of having eczema? I havent been to a doctors office since I was in 7th grade and the eczema started to show around freshmen year. I havent been told that it is eczema (since I havent seen a doctor in a while) so I really dont know. Its just obvious that it is eczema cause it itches at times and its showing up where eczema usually shows up , my inner leg.
7. What is the AIT portion of OSUT like? Is it just like basic, but more aimed at learning the MP skills? Or do they do away with all the yelling and lighten up?
8. How will I determine my duty station once I complete OSUT for 31B? Is it on where the nearest Army base is at from my house? Or will it be decided by being a 31B and where they need you to be?
