ARMY FORMATIONS... When Falling into formation, do you always dress to the right?

For example... If there are three platoons coming back from PT and they are aligned from 1st on the far right to 3rd on the far left, then everyone would dress off 1st Platoon right??? What if 2nd Platoon came back from the run first and was still in the middle.. Would everyone then dress off 2nd Platoon to their left and right as they returned??? A little confusing,,,, sorry....
 
Yes, everyone would dress off of 1plt. I was in 2plt during OSUT training and if 1plt messes up, everyone messes up. We always had problems with formation due to their lack of discipline and inability to get in their squads so that we could dress off of them..
 
You are supposed to fall in on the lead platoon. In this case that would be 1st platoon. It is the responsibility of the 1st platoon 1st squad leader to ensure accurate position on the 1SG/CO.
