Army Fitness and Muscular Requirements?

For the Irish Defence Forces the requirements are;
Fitness: To be able to run 1.5 miles/ 2.4 km in 11 mins 30 seconds. Is this hard?
Muscular: 20 push-ups in 1 min, 20 sit-ups in 1 min.

Are these hard? I can already do 20 sit-ups in 1 min.
I'm worried about the fitness aspect?
 
Try it and see if you can achieve it, seriously. If not then you can train and work up to it. Its only hard if you never achieve it.
