Army Christmas Exodus and Thanksgiving at Basic Training at Fort Jackson S.C.?

Hey everyone! My name is Russell and I just enlisted in the US Army reserve as a 68w m6. Which is a combat medic. I am scheduled to report for basic November 16 at Fort Jackson South Carolina. Ironically, after I report, the following week is Thanksgiving. Then toward the end of basic training, here comes Christmas. My recruiter isn't being very clear on what is going on. I am not sure whether or not it's not written in stone what is going to happen, or whether she doesn't know. I am scheduled to be at Fort Jackson for 12 weeks. This may indirectly tell me what is going to happen. If anyone knows what is going on and how the process of leaving happens, I will be incredibly thankful. Thanks.
 
You will be able to come home for Christmas Exodus but not ThanksGiving.
Every day at Relaxin' Jackson is like Christmas Exodus anyways.

EDIT: Mike6 is not a combat medic either, it's a nurse.
 
Almost all training shuts down during the two weeks of Exodus; If you're basic graduation date falls within a few days of the week of Christmas, they will probably graduate early and then send you on leave enroute to your AIT. If it's more than a couple of days, you'll go on leave and then come back to graduate, then on directly to AIT. (Unless you're split option.)

Thanksgiving will probably be spent there at basic. They don't normally send people home from basic for Thanksgiving, although in AIT you may be allowed to go on pass for that four day holiday.
