Nobody spents eight months in basic training or in recovery for a knee injury, I fear somebody is feeding you a load of B.S.

ok if you are in boot camp will they discharge you for knee problems. just trying to figure out if someone is lieing to me about something. he said he went to boot camp for 8 months and they let him go because of knee problems. he can walk on it fine and all that and he says he has knee problems but he walked around for 5 hours at a mall and he has walked long distances before and not once complained about it or sit down on the way or anything.

BCT is only 9 weeks no 8 months no way in the world unless he is going for a realy strong possition but still bct only last 9 weeks it could be 8 months if he went to another military program

first off.. boot camp is 9 weeks for the army.. and no.. unless he basically tore major ligaments in his knee.. they wouldnt dismiss him..

He might have been able to fake some things but they would have sent him to an ortho to get a diagnosis. If the doctor said he couldn't perform in combat, do PT (and not just temp), they might have let him go. They really don't want malingers and there's a force reduction so it's possible. But sounds like he got kicked out for something else.
