army boot camp..fort knox graduation?

my husband will be graduation from army boot camp in kentucky. does anyone know of an airline i should book with and a hotel close to fort knox? also can you tell me a lil abt how the whole graduation works.. how many days should i plan to go for and what kinds of things can we do? can we leave off base? etc...thanks, any info. will help
