argument with sport hunters?

i told them killing animals for sport is disgusting and wrong. they told me they care and respect animals more than i do. how is it you are respecting and caring for animals when you kill an innocent animal for sport and hang its head on your wall? im trying to understand this. i dont see how killing an animal is showing you care about them. this isnt hunting for meat, this is hunting for sport. i asked them why do they pose with the dead animal with a smile on their face? they didnt reply back to me. does anyone have any thoughts on these kinda people and do you buy into their caring about animals?
 
despite their callous ability to shoot an innocent animal, hunters have done more for wildlife conservation than any PETA or Greenpeace group will ever do.


But I do agree there's nothing manly about hiding in wait for the most beautiful elk in the forest and killing it with a rifle.
