Roth was due a Nobel after American Pastoral, and definitely after The Human Stain. Outside of the Nobel, he was won every literary award imaginable--and from many different countries: Britain, Italy, America, France, etc.

The guy will go down as one of the five greatest writers in American history, yet the Nobel goons overlooked him yet again.
