There once was a man named Joe.
Joe's youth lasted 1/6 of his life. He grew a beard after 1/12 more. After 1/7 more of his life, he married. 5 years later, he and his wife had a son. The son lived exactly 1/2 as long as his father, and Joe died four years after his son.

How Many Years Did Joe Live?
 
Joe lived 84 years.

His youth lasted 14 years, he grew a beard after 7 years meaning when he was 21, he got married 12 years later when he was 33, he had his son after 5 years when he was 38, his son lived half as long as he would meaning son died when he was 42 and Joe was 80, Joe lived 4 more years dying at age 84.
 
Yeah.. no im to lazy to do the work. Unless its like one of those, trick question ones. :P
