If GM is not a viable business the taxpayers should not keep shelling out money to keep it afloat.

The wages and benefits paid to GM emloyees must be lowered from $73 an hour to $48 an hour, which is what autoworkers who work for Japanese car manufacturers earn. If UAW members are not willing to make these wage and benefit concessions the government must stop loaning money to GM.

It's not the end of the world if GM goes under. Life goes on.

Good question.

It is wrong and just a case of "kicking the can down the road" by the politicians. If GM needs to enter reorganization bankruptcy, better sooner than later.

We know this already, it will be probably in February that they will be back (as they predict). The next president will have to take care of this. Ford is the only one that said they had enough for the year.

I'd rather them file for bankruptcy then keep paying them to stay afloat, its becoming ridiculous.
