...into an ugly race...? baiting fight? Consider what started this debate. Obama's minister certainly said ugly things about race relations. Obama clearly stated that it was wrong and that he does not condone such a message. He made a speech to decribe his feelings and start a debate about healing.
Look at what has resuled on this very site. Many of you are trying to enflame this situation by bringing up clearly racist remarks and disguising it as a legitimate question using Obama's minister as an excuse. Does Obama even remotely think that blacks should receive compensation for slavery?
It looks to me that Obama is not the racist. It is the people that are inciting racial differences that are clearly racist. Obama's emergence as a national figure was certainly a positive thing to all races.
With so many problems facing the country, forcing out ugly racial divide is a dangerous thing, even if you want to win the election and push forward Republican agenda
