"Engagement ring ends up gone with the wind

...Lefkos Hajji's dreams of giving his sweetheart, Leanne, 26, the ultimate proposal have literally vanished into thin air.

Hajji, of Hackney, east London, had concealed a £6,000 engagement ring inside a helium balloon. The idea was that she would pop the balloon as he popped the question.

But as he left the shop, a gust of wind pulled the balloon from his hand and he watched the ring -- and quite possibly the affections of his girlfriend -- sailing away over the rooftops."

hope someone reads the story and is honest in returning it now that would be a happy ending .

There's one born every minute!

Just lately, if it were not for bad luck, I wouldn't be having any!

Lefkos Hajji from Hackney - £6000 for a ring!!

Surely he was carrying a gun and could have shot it down!!

Hang on...I'll answer in a mo...there's this balloon floating over my garden........!

Don't you think he was sitting on his brains to trust a six thousand pound ring to a helium balloon, and not at least tie it down to his wrist or belt? The man must be simple in the head!

Hi Delly xx

I read this a couple of days ago. Poor lad tried to do something sweet and romantic. Shame it went so wrong

Glad to say, I'm much luckier than that

He must have been, so much in love that he couldn't think
straight. My luck is better than that.

Lol, oh dear. Full marks for trying to be romantic, but he doesn't get any points for brainpower!

Serves him right for being so stupid....... helium balloons will float away weather caught by the wind or just handled badly.
