hike on taxpayers dime? It's not surprising he refused the stimulus money. He's not in South Carolina enough to discern our state needs. I hear he's going to have some great competiton this next election though.

The man is entitled to some free time.

It is not on "the taxpayers' dime".
The man works for his paycheck.

It's his own damn money.

Whether you like his policies or not, mind your own damn business.
 
The fact that he took a vacation doesn't bother me in the least(on the taxpayers dime)
Pelosi uses ALOT of the taxpayers dimes..
I think that there is alot more to this story that we may never know about.
 
Actually...any vacation I take is on the taxpayers' dime...I work for the federal government. My annual leave is a benefit provided to me for the work I do.

The issue isn't that the SC governor took vacation time - he earns it as part of his job and can use it...the issue is that he didn't provide any way for anyone to get a hold of him in an emergency and didn't leave anyone in charge when he left.
