We are rapidly developing the game world by adding more details and creating fantastic designs. Half life 2 was a good development in individual gaming design. Many interesting games followed as important Multiplayer games. Whether they were action based, or with the racing soul within the games. But are we far enough?
Most on-line games are limited in the environment they provide. Worlds, such as in WOW, still lack what every gamer will look for. As a strategy game it is awesome. As a fantasy game it is marvelous. But it isn't good enough.
GTA and Fallout were very important releases that proved to us that the environment can be very huge and lifelike. But are we on the right way?
APB was a good jump into the Multiplayer world. But the question remains; will we find any on-line game that has high details, environment, players, effects, any time soon?
Note: Splinter cell Conviction had good designs. Singularity had good designs. Prototype had great designs, etc. Many on-line games require the characters to be either small or in low details. The environment can be as old as the 1990s in many on-line games, such as in bloodline champions.
I like all the games that have been mentioned above, no exceptions, but I am wondering if we can do better!
