Kawasaki have left so are Moto GP thinking about adding more bikes on the grid or are kawasaki going to return?
I think i heard Yamaha or Honda might add more bikes?

Ciccio has hit the main point just right.

suzuki have said they will not feild anymore bikes nor will they supply lease engines.

Ducati have said 5 is the max they want to do.

Kwacker are pulling out at the end of the year, however the Hayate team are intrested in running a M1 Yamaha engine for 2010. The ZX-RR frame would not need a massive amount of work to hold a new engine from Yamaha as they are both in-line 4's.

Im sure if the new Moto2 class takes off the way its looking like it will, I hope to see some of the bigger teams ( Sueter / Harris / Promoto / Roberts etc ) get back into the Blue Ribbon Class.

After all, the new Moto2 class is really just lease engines in thier own one off style frames and kit.

honda are likley to lease engins for 2010 although they are unhappy with the idea. The engines ( and ECU's ) are said to be going for @ €800K per year, however Honda lease there current bikes for nearly €1.5 mill. So on paper they are loosing a lot of money.

dorna really needs to make a few moves to make the series cheaper. If the title dipps below 15 racers, it will loose its world championship status.

No status, no sponser's, end of the road.

It seems HRC will try to put even more bikes on the grid, perhaps a second bike for the LCR team and/or a second bike for the Scot Team and bring Hirishi Aoyama.

Ducati will have another satellite Bike in the Aspar Team (replacing the Francisco Hernando Team that raced the first part of 09 and quit)

There are rumors about a new team to be ready for the 2010 season called FB corse.

The field is too thin, MotoGP must have more bikes on the grid and more manufacturers involved, otherwise it risks to become irrelevant.
