My hubby and I recently moved to a new area we are expecting our first baby (she will be delivered via C-section next friday). I was trying to find some friends to hang out with and went on this website for moms. I met up with this woman that already has a ten month old. One week later I thought it would have been nice to invite her and her boyfriend over for dinner. She texted me back, that her boyfriend was wishy washy about it, but that she will talk him into coming over. That her boyfriend would like to know if he has anything in common with us first, she went on saying that he asked her one million questions about us. Then I was thinking, what the heck, we wanted to be nice and invite them to our house and if they act like this forget it! The last text message she sent me she asked if my hubby liked football or golf. I didn't even reply. I thought that they acted very insensitive. what do you guys think? I spent three hours with her at lunch. I think it came out pretty clear that we are not crazy people. Plus I feel that you don't necessarily need to have all common interests to be friends. Some people just click. It's nice just to hang out and talk about stuff. The main thing was that they have baby girl too.
