Are these good Bait Casters for beginners?

I've been fishing for about twelve years and I've always used a spinning reel.

I want to give myself a challenge, or at least try something new : using the bait caster.

Would you recommend this for beginners? I've only used the bait caster for about 30 seconds in my fishing life
