It was pointed out to me by a contact that many on Yahoo Answers can't give good advice without being pompous or arrogant and that many unpublished writers sneer at and dismiss anyone who wishes to break into print. Some have even suggested people "self-publish", which is terrible advice.
Would a budding musician be better off making 20,000 CD's in their house and selling them on street corners or would they be better off approaching EMI? You decide.
I have been published. It is not impossible to be published despite common opinion. If you adhere to the publisher's deadlines and you have a great manuscript then you have a great chance of seeing your book on Amazon.
