...own business? I am African American and I am a struggling college student who is unemployed. I have been actively been seeking work but to no avail. I served my country for 6 years as a reservist. Now I need help but I have no where to turn. I have no friends or family members who could help me. As a last resort, I am desperately trying to start up my own business. Because of our bad economy I am getting very close to the poverty level. I have tried a few organizations but they could care less if you live or die. I can't get help from the welfare system because I don't have dependents and I'm not dying from a deadly disease. I don't think this is right or fair. I am not asking for handouts but I do need that extra push and guiding hand. If anyone can refer me to such a organization that would help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou very much.
