Are there google chrome extensions or any ipod apps that let you check campus email?

I'm a UConn student and to use the mail app on my iPod I have to sync all of my contacts from my campus email account and I will not do that. Are there any other apps that might work? Also, are there any Google chrome extensions out there that I can use to check my campus email as well?

UConn uses a student email service called Huskymail
