Are there any women here??

I guess I am short compared to the other gals...only 5'5". Once I got the suspension softened as much as the spring would go on my 1098s, I can now get on the seat & at least the rear of the bike will lower slightly. Enough so that at a stop, I only lean VERY slightly to one side & I am flatt footed. But still that did not stop me from getting it. I just ride it closer to the tank...no jewels to crush makes it easier. Been told I need a softer spring in the rear, just not in the budget at this time. This bike kicks ass, wouldn't change bikes for anything!!

5'3 here, with inseam at 30 inches, tippy toe on whitey/pinky(848 seat height 33 inches), straddling the motard for me is somewhat like a yoga class...flat footed on one side is way more than a stretch, barely reach brake lever......tippytoe one foot......i mean the tip of one toe for contact, well thats okay if its a dirtbike and i can throw it down when i need.....nup too high, fukdatshit wont risk droppina ducati, have dropped one of em once...the sportclassic 1000 and that was when a semi trailer was about to drive over the top of me at a round-about......had to grab all the brakes i could, lost balance on that tippytoe and had to throw her down so she would'nt end up under the front wheels of truck ...broke the clutch lever, scratched the pegs, the 'trucky', 'didnt see me', boy did he cop a mouthful and he was freeked when i took the helmet off and he saw i was a woman.....

the other lady 848 rider at partners shop is 5'1, we dropped seat height, moved bars and bar levers to get things more compfy for her, she wears riding boots with a fairly thick sole

oh yeah had the sportclassic 1000 x 2 of em...same 2 valve motor as the motard...fun funky torque...sad i sold the black classic and the paul smart

cblast.....that guy had it comin....rude and a jerk

First hello to all the ladies. My girlfriend who never posts on the forum is only 4' 10". She has raced an SV in CCS Great Plains series for the last three years and does quite well. One amateur championship and two expert championships in lightweight superbike. She's going to be racing a Ducati DS1000 this year. I let her ride my 848 on the track at MAM in Iowa, but at her height needs help in pitout to get going. Here's a couple shots.

Props to your girlfriend rc848. Wish I had the guts to get out on the track with my 1098s. Have raced dirt bikes & quads for many years. The guys seem to forget that us gals usually weigh at least 100lbs less than they do...so it usually can add up to some more speed for us!!! At least it was that way for my quad & up hill sand racing. I just have a hard time getting over the fear & $$$$ it would cost if I laid down the Ducati. Am very envious of her & her skills!!

She said thanks 22slow. She just got the DS1000 a couple weeks ago and hasn't got'n her pink paint job applied yet. Sorry I can't find any better shots of her. Most of our pics are prints and we don't have a scaner.

Can't compete with RC848's girlfriend. Good on her and wish her luck with her racing. Attached is a photo of me on my husband's Tricolore, just returning from its FIRST EVER ride - I am looking for a latte at this stage .

An exciting time for me - he just had to stand and watch me ride away - poor devil - Doesn't really give you an idea of my height but yes its 6 foot and most of it is legs!
