are there any websites that can help you make a bike route/map?

I want to start riding a bike to work ( I have to get one first though) but I was wondering if there were any websites that can help make the best routes that are the shortest distance and have bike lanes. I live 12 miles from work and I will have to ride home at 1130 pm, so the fastest shortest safest route would be nice.

It won't be able to tell you if the roads have bike lanes, but it will show you the route, distance and elevation change. If you're riding home at 11:30pm you will need to get a good light system and reflective gear as well.
