Are there any road cycling pedals that can also be used with regular shoes?

I'm in college and when not on long rides, I sometimes bike to class if I dont have time to walk. Right now i have pedals with toe clips, but they're just one sided (i.e. i cant use the sode of the pedal opposite the clips). What are some clip-less road pedals (other than the like $120 speedplay ones) that can either be used with regular shoes, or have an adapter? Or should i just pick up a cheap pair of pedals for going to class, and some regular clip-less for training? Is it very hard to switch them out (and i mean very hard like needs to be done at a shop, or shouldnt be switched out often, bad for parts. I'm a pretty tool-savvy guy)
(I'm really new to clip-less, btw) but the adapter for the shoes comes with the pedals, right? And then they just attach to the cycling shoes?
