Are there any requests for reasons statutes relating to refused employment?

I want to know if there are any private sector legislative provisions within Victoria in which a potential employer would be required to give reasons for refusal?
The situation is i have a former boss who held a personal vendetta against me due to Industrial action taken on my behalf to ensure that blatant breaches of the relevant act were addressed. Now whenever i apply for a similar role, or anything local to the former business, it is an automatic refusal.

Im thinking similar to a s49 statement, or the VPS merrits based appointment system also, what provisions are private sector employees or potential employers entitled to?
