I live in Great yarmouth and if I look to the South West, (about 11.35 if you imagine a clock) there is something in the sky too bright to be a star, and seems too prominent to even be a satelite any ideas?

VENUS IS THE PLANET CLOSEST TO THE MOON WHICH APPEARS AS THE BRIGHTEST STAR IN THE SKY.

NEXT WE HAVE MARS WHICH ONLY BECOMES VISABLE EVERY FEW YEARS (NOT SURE HOW MANY THO SORRY)

That has been asked a fair bit here on Yahoo! Answers. It is most likely to be the planet Venus, the 3rd brightest object in the sky after the Sun and the Moon.
