I have been a Manchester United fan for my entire life. But whenever a man hears this I get the response "oh I suppose you like watching men in their little shorts running round?"
Does this annoy anybody else out there?
I love football as a game. I love the passion I feel when I am watching it - I cried with my brother when we won the treble in 1999. And going up to Old Trafford to see us play left me speechless. I do not "fancy" the men in their little shorts, the only man I fancy is my Husband. I am sick of men thinking that they automatically know more about the game than a woman.
Oh and yes I understand the off side rule - it isnt exactly hard is it?
So is there any other women football lovers out there that gets this reaction and does it get your blood boiling too?
Men are welcome to answer too! Especially if you agree...
