So I'm doing a report on saving private ryan for my history class and one of the questions I have to answer is "what historical figures are incorporated in the film"? I went through the main cast and compared it to the actual d-day invasion and didn't seem to find any of the actors name in the actual d-day event. I know this is just a movie but I was assuming that there would probably be some important people from the time mentioned. Any who are there any historical figures in saving private ryan?
