Are there any good movies about western civilization?

Western civ? That's a little vague...

what time period? which countries? what about the civilization (technology, culture...?)
 
For a great comedy parody on western civ rent Mel Brook's History of the World, Part I. It is hysterical. However, there was never a Part II.
 
most of Hollywood movies describing history are claps + fakes
