Are there any environmental sound camper vans?

im looking to hire/ buy a camper van/ caravan that is not really bad for the environment?
does anyone have any suggestions?
i dont have a massive budget
 
A horse drawn gipsy wagon. You can't get more environmentally sound than that. Not very fast however and you can't go on motorways
 
Unfortunately not, unless maybe you can find an solar powered one, or one built like Fred Flintstone's car. (camper vans)

Caravans are better since it uses few resources to live in one but you still have to move it about - with a car.

Tents are fairly ok.

Edit: Good point Hawk-eye, you could go horsedrawn. I've a few friends who live this way, it's very hard work but they seem to like it.
