... i've been duck hooking the ball lately, and cannot fathom why. i've played golf for over 10 years now, and haven't had this problem. i'm not quite sure if its a matter of timing, or what. i don't think its my swing because i've been swinging it the same way for a long time with success. any tips?
 
This is gonna be a little hard to explain on here. I had the same problem till my BOWLING coach corrected me lol.

When you set up for your swing instead of holding the club in front of you, you kinda wanna push it outward towards your left leg. When you line up with it straight, you wanna pull on the club causing the ball to hook. Hope that helps.
