I need to do a report and the uncanny valley effect seems like a great topic. I need research though and I have trouble finding any books.

I'm not sure of any books but there is a famous essay called "On the Psychology of the Uncanny" written by Ernest Jentsch. Numerous psychologists and scientists look to this essay as a reference.
