My husband just left with the NC National Guard for Iraq yesterday and I am feeling absolutely terrible! This is my first deployment, and we kind of have a unique situation because I am living in Wilson, NC which is nowhere near where his home armory is, in Southern Pines, NC. I have NO friends in the army, and I feel like if I could get in touch with some girls or a group of girls near me who had soldiers overseas, that I would probably feel better. Anyway, if anyone is in the same boat as me, or knows of some specific group that I can contact, please let me know!
