are there an infinite amount of civilizations in the multiverse?

if theres infinite universes and we know theres more then 0 percent chance for an intelligent civilization like us then there should be infinite of more intelligent civilizations in the multiverse???

think of teh possibilities :) religion is depressing astronomy astrobiology is the cure for planet earth :)
i mean civilizations who know they exist with a conscience and high intelligence, civilizations even smarter then humans because i cant type hehe...
 
Have you looked at the Drake Equation for this? While I think Drake got his numbers wrong (he's way too optimistic about it), I still think the equation has some valid ideas presented in it. If you're only looking for the intelligent civilizations, w/ radio signals and such, then Drake's equation makes sense.

To answer your question in a more solid answer though, infinity isn't a number. But you can already prove that there's more planets than intelligent civilizations. In theory, the universe is infinite though, and so yes, there could be an infinite amount of intelligent civilizations, although I honestly doubt that there are.
